Regulations of the Public Library in the Włochy District of the Capital City of Warsaw
Library Hours:
- Monday 1:00pm–8:00pm
- Tuesday – Friday 10:00am–8:00pm
- Saturday: 10:00am–3:00pm (only Reading Room and Scientific Lending Library No. VI, Lending Library No. 17, Lending Library No. 28)
Summer Hours:
- Tuesday, Friday 10:00am-3:00pm
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:00pm-8:00pm
Key Provisions
These regulations define the rules for using the following library branches:
- Reading Room and Scientific Lending Library No. VI, ks. J. Chrościckiego 2 street,
- Children’s and Youth Library No. 22, ks. J. Chrościckiego 2 Street,
- Lending Library No. 17, Al. Jerozolimskie 200 Street,
- Lending Library No. 28, 1 Sierpnia 36A Street,
- Lending Library No. 30, ks. J. Chrościckiego 2 Street,
- Lending Library No. 71, Astronautów 1 Street.
The use of the Library is free of charge.
Any registered person holding a Library Card may use the Library.
To register with the Library, one must:
- read the Regulations and complete the registration form – Commitment;
- present a valid photo ID.
- Minors must be registered by their parents or legal guardians, who assume responsibility for the items borrowed by the child.
- Each reader is obliged to take care of the borrowed materials and, in case of loss or damage, must pay their equivalent value.
- Late returns are subject to overdue fees as specified in the fee schedule, along with postal charges if a written reminder is sent.
- The following borrowing limits apply per library branch:
- 5 books,
- 5 magazines,
- 3 audiobooks,
- 3 films
- 2 board games (Lending Library No. 17 and 28)
- The total number of items that can be borrowed across all library branches is:
- 15 books,
- 10 magazine issues,
- 10 audiobooks (spoken books),
- 5 films,
- 4 board games.
- All library materials are loaned for a period of 30 days.
- The return deadline can be extended twice, provided that the item has not been reserved by another reader and the due date has not been exceeded.
- When borrowing or renewing library materials, the Library Card must be presented to the librarian.
- Library computers with internet access are available for free use.
- Free Wi-Fi is available at the Reading Room and Scientific Lending Library No. VI, Lending Library No. 17, Lending Library No. 28, and Lending Library No. 71.
- Printing and photocopying services are available for a fee.
- Eating, smoking, and using mobile phones for conversations are prohibited in the library, except in designated areas.
- Guardians are responsible for children present in the library.

Please remember that you can extend the borrowing period for your materials up to 2 times, provided that:
• No other reader has placed a reservation for them,
• The return date has not passed.
After the return date has passed, you will be charged 0.20 PLN per day for each overdue item.
